Art Projects International (API) is a New York based gallery specializing in contemporary art, with a focus on works by leading artists from Asia. Founded in 1993 by Jung Lee Sanders and originally located in SoHo, API was one of the few pioneering galleries in New York dedicated to promoting and providing a platform for contemporary artists from Asia. API has been a unique presence in New York and is noted for its critically acclaimed exhibitions and representation of artists with diverse projects and backgrounds. Over the years, works by API artists have been prominently featured world wide in solo and group exhibitions at major art museums and cultural institutions in Asia, Middle East, Europe and the United States.
