| Barbara Davis has been bringing groundbreaking contemporary artwork to Houston for more than 20 years. Driven by her intuitive sensibilities and perennially fresh vision, Barbara Davis has championed a generation of significant contemporary artists. In the process she has challenged a generation of art collectors, both seasoned and aspiring, to see the beauty and value in their work. She has launched the careers of international artists such as Julie Mehretu and Shaziah Sikander, and has brought to Houston the influential names of Joseph Bueys, Kiki Smith, Andy Warhol and Louise Bourgeois as well as many others. Barbara's dedication to establishing Houston as an International Arts Destination, has helped her to build one of the most progressive and discerning galleries in the U.S. Dedicated to showing the art of our time by both emerging and established artists, Barbara Davis continues to both empower and educate the Houston visual arts community by showing at prestigious art fairs, such as Miami Basel, along with ongoing cutting edge exhibitions from Leipzig, Shanghai and around the world.
