| MISSION:
Freight + Volume: The work comes first.
Freight + Volume is dedicated to showcasing the work of emerging and established artists, and in particular work that is innovative and not afraid to take risks.
While Freight + Volume is especially interested in narrative and text-based material, ultimately our predominant criteria is the quality of the work itself, regardless of technique, media, content or style. We place the maximum importance on nurturing the overall career of the artists that we represent and have faith that a gallery with humble beginnings can set out to meet global aspirations on their behalf.
Freight + Volume strives to put aside elitism and cliquishness; the gallery aspires to be everyman's gallery. Our aim is to not condescend to the public or the workingman, but rather embrace the democratic aspects of the art world process, and the spiritual, ecological and conscientious goals and ideals of creating art.
In short, Freight + Volume is on a rapid rise towards global success and worldwide domination. But we also hope to pay our rent. In fact, we sort of believe that financial stress may ultimately be the key to our success.
