International Print Center New York announces the presentation of Working with Prints: Selections from Eight Corporate Collections, opening on Wednesday,September 8th, and remaining on view through Saturday, October 20th in IPCNY's gallery at 526 West 26th Street, Room 824. A Reception for artists and lenders will be held on September 20th, from 6-8 p.m.

The Exhibition will present a selection of fine art prints from eight corporate collections: JPMorgan Chase, Cleary Gottlieb Steen and Hamilton LLP, Deutsche Bank, Hallmark Cards, Inc., Hess Corporation, Johnson & Johnson, The Progressive Corporation and Pryor Cashman LLP.

Sandra Lang is Curator of the Exhibition. In her words: “The fine art print is a staple of corporate collections in the United States today. Working with Prints demonstrates the range of ways that collections are shaped, and the high quality and diverse imagery that enliven the corporate environment.”

Ms. Lang is Assistant Professor and Director of the Visual Arts Administration M.A. Program in the Department of Art and Art Professions at New York University’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development.

The corporations included in the Exhibition represent a cross-section of businesses from banking and insurance to law, energy and health care. Working with Prints features art from companies across the country whose collections are recognized milestones in the history of U.S. corporate collecting, or which have a unique focus and/or purpose.

Works included in the Exhibition include Gerhard Richter’s Abandoned House, a photolithograph from 1990; Richard Tuttle’s seventeen-part suite of etchings with woodblock, aquatint and chine collé entitled Line from 2000; Frank Stella’s 1977 screenprint/lithograph Puerto Rican Blue Pigeon, and Elizabeth Peyton’s 1998 lithograph Bosie.

An illustrated brochure with a curatorial essay by Ms. Lang will accompany the Exhibition.

Major support for the Exhibition brochure has been provided by IAPPA, the International Association of Professional Art Advisors.
