In November 2005 Jenkins Johnson Gallery opened a second location in Chelsea, New York. This major expansion has enlarged the gallery’s roster of artists as well as its exposure and reach in the art community. The first solo exhibition of one of the most important photographers of the 20 th Century, Roy DeCarava received extraordinary press in: The New Yorker, ARTnews, The Wall Street Journal, The NY Sun, San Francisco Chronicle, The Star Ledger, Culture Catch, The Baltimore Sun. The exhibition was attended by leading American curators and collectors.
Over the years the gallery has participated in the last five San Francisco International Art Exhibitions. Jenkins Johnson Gallery and its artists are constantly reviewed in many national and local publications like ARTnews, Art in America, American Artist, American Art Collector, ArtWeek, The San Francisco Chronicle, Southwest Art, The Oregonian, and The Art Newspaper among others.
