Kips Gallery is pleased to present “Natural Being” by a Korean Artist, Keunjoong Kim.
This new exhibition will be on view at the Kips Gallery’s Location at 511 West 25th Street 2F, between 10th and 11th Avenue in Chelsea.
Being conscious of others is no different from believing that such awareness will maintain his present state. Working in the consciousness that is prisoned by others makes the heart cold and the heat hot, naturally resulting in lifeless works. While conventional esthetics and philosophy of the public have their value in that they purify the sensibility and recover the humanity, working with whatever it is in a state of not communicating with my own sensibility and not having the heart vitalized would be very painful. I finally got to regret that I had been forcing myself to work with my head only because of such a disability in concept, and made a turn to paint with my heart. That choice was my flower and bird paintings.
