| In 1984, TORCH Gallery was established by Adriaan van der Have as a podium for Dutch and foreign contemporary Art. In those days the medium photography was not referred as an art form. Van der Have offered as a first possibility to show the work of artists which later became to be by their innovative contribution to raising photography to art. The careers of internationally renowned Dutch names such as those of Anton Corbijn and Inez van Lamsweerde started with the gallery. TORCH presented wonder children from the international art world, to the Netherlands. Nowadays he represents prestigious artists such as Anthony Goicolea and Loretta lux.
